Amtrak train number 13, the Coast Starlight between LA and Oakland, has arrived on the evening of December 21, 1985. SP SD45R 7487 and Amtrak F40PH's 283, 254, and 250 are in the lead. By the time train is ready to proceed north towards Oregon and Washington as Amtrak number 14, the 7487 and 283 will have been taken off and SP's SDP45 3201 will be added to the lead.
