SW1200's 2284 and 2278 are temporarily stored serviceable at the West Oakland diesel shop. With the slow contraction of yard and local switching in the Bay Area, SP's collection of NW2, SW8, SW900E, and SW1200 switchers slowly departed during the 1980's.
